Loose gravel remains under the water level. Romix RoadSafe, premixed pothole repair is poured into the water filled pothole. The water is displaced by RoadSafe. The RoadSafe mixture is moved around and worked into every part of the pothole. The RoadSafe is compacted with a shovel and leveled to match the surrounding surface, left standing ½ inch proud for compaction. Passing traffic or running a vehicle tire back and forth over the RoadSafe repaired pothole completes the process of repairing the pothole. A handheld tamper, top compactor or roller may also be used. Each pass of a vehicle tire compacts the RoadSafe until the surface is hard and the pothole is even with the surrounding road surface. By having left the mixture ½ inch proud, there is no depression that will cause a bump when future traffic runs over the repaired area. The repair hardens with each pass. The pothole 1 week later.
